I am a West Australian born and raised artist now living and working in Tirol, Austria. My artworks involve processes of drawing, painting and photography.
My practice explores the space between dream and reality, bringing together fragments of memories done and undone with observed experiences of travel and movement. By shifting between the deliberate and focused mark-making in drawing, and the spontaneous, instinctive use of paints and ink I incorporate ideas of space, energy, and sensory exporations.
I'm interested in how a subsonscious idea develops into a physical manifestation, how this then develops into the process of making, and finally the finished artwork. Often working in a meditative way, I am always curious of the dark and light sides of being, and the interconnection between humans and our environment.
